Audits

To really help your business spend smarter, we must first understand it. We will conduct a free audit to determine the best ways for your business to reduce your office supplies and services costs.

We will conduct a comprehensive audit on your category requirements and incumbent supplier(s), analysing your previous 12 months expenditure.  This will assess your current situation and help you decide upon future action.
The audit provides a thorough review of information. Often complicated structures or work-arounds have been put in place over time, or staff have moved on, and the audit provides a clear picture of actual spend and day-to-day processes.

Our audit will highlight:

  • If you are being charged at the contract rates agreed
  • Historic percentage of core vs non-core spend
  • Is your budget spent wisely
  • Are there any better, alternative products available

We will also focus on contract compliance and innovation; for example is discipline applied within purchasing? Is local spending permitted? Does the incumbent make proactive product or cost saving suggestions?

The comprehensive audit report will identify the purchasing processes in place, and make clear recommendations for future cost savings and process improvements. This information will assist you in any future benchmarking and tender exercises.

Proud to support the Multiple Sclerosis Society

One of our core values at Red Herring is being a business for good. This means that we raise money by donating 10% of all fees earned to the Multiple Sclerosis Society. After a recent diagnosis, this cause is close to our hearts and we are proud to support the UK’s leading MS charity that provides practical help today and the hope of a cure tomorrow for everyone living with multiple sclerosis (MS) nationwide.

Over 100,000 people in the UK have multiple sclerosis (MS). It’s unpredictable, and different for everyone. It’s often painful and exhausting, and can cause problems with how people walk, move, see, think and feel. It can make it hard for people to work, and do the things they enjoy. But it doesn’t have to be this way.

The MS Society is a community of people living with MS, scientists, campaigners, volunteers and fundraisers. We understand what life’s like with MS, and we support each other through the highs, lows and everything in between. And we’re driving research into more – and better – treatments. For everyone.

Together, we are strong enough to stop MS.
